15 Mar 2018 Institutional Shareholder Services acquires oekom research for ESG ratings
Institutional Shareholder Services Inc. (ISS) announced the acquisition of oekom research AG as of March 15, 2018. Oekom is a leder in providing environmental, social and governance (ESG) rating and dara and in carrying on research on sustainable investments.
The acquisition will result in the creation of a new unit within ISS in order
to integrate and complement the already existing team in charge of responsible investment. Indeed, oeakom will be renamed ISS-oekom while it will keep its operations in London, Munich, New York, Paris and Zurich and also its co-founder and CEO, Robert Hassler, in the leading position.
